COMMUNITY
Benefit Bake Program
Part of our mission at American Flatbread is to support local organizations that have an impact on our community. The primary way that we accomplish this is through our Benefit Bake Nights held on Tuesdays where, from 4pm-10pm, we donate a portion of revenue from pizzas to the weekly organization.
Scroll through our planned Benefit Bakes to see what organizations we are partnering with, and if you’re interested in working with us to create a Benefit Bake Night for your organization, fill out the application below.
Apply for a Benefit Bake Night
Benefit Bake Night Details
Below is an outline of the evening that we recommend in order to create the best chance for a successful benefit night for your organization.
Fill out the benefit application (required)
o Please note that dates fill up fast.
o Dates are not guaranteed based off previous years benefits.
o A new benefit application must be filled out each year.
• Save the date (required)
o Following the review of your application, a date can be set.
o We host benefits on Tuesdays weekly. Every date is highly sought after and can be very successful.
o Some of our busiest benefits have been on traditionally slow days of the year.
o We will begin scheduling the new year in early November.
o If you are hoping to schedule a benefit and have not heard back after submitting your application, feel free to follow up via email at MelissaM@americanflatbread.com.
• Market your event
o The best way to make your benefit night successful is by getting the word out!
o You know your supporters best, but some of the most successful marketing has been through Facebook, Instagram, email marketing, flyers, posters, website postings.
o The more people you get here, the more pizza you sell!
o Please include us so that we can share these items on our social media pages.
o We also use this information to appropriately schedule staff for the evening so all information is helpful.
• Create a banner to hang at Flatbread, the week before (required)
o Banners should be no bigger than 3 x 3.
o Banners cannot be computer generated.
o The banner must be dropped off the week before your benefit.
o Take your banner with you either the night of, or the following week.
o Your banner will not be stored.
• Plan your set up
o There must be someone here to represent your organization.
o We will provide one standard table. You can set up anytime after 3pm
o Decorate the table as you may like! (table cloth, flyers, anything else you can think of!)
o You may do a raffle, a 50/50, an auction, or sell merchandise to create more revenue for your organization.
• It’s your night! Your benefit night is here!
o The benefit runs from 4pm - 10pm.
o You earn $4 for every large flatbread and $2 for every small sold! (Dine in, take out, and delivery)
o For delivery, it’s best to have them use the link on our website to be directed to DoorDash, Grubhub, or UberEATS
o Come enjoy and thank your supporters.
• Donation time:
o Your benefit check will be ready after the last benefit of the month.
o We will reach out to you to let you know how much you raised.
o Your check may be picked up at the restaurant any time after we have told you your total.
Thank you
Thank you for everything that your non-profit does to support the Somerville Community. We love being able to host benefit nights and to provide a space for networking, fundraising and excitement. Please let us know if you have any questions!
7 Acts of Kindness:
As part of our mission at American Flatbread, our team is required to perform seven acts of kindness in our community weekly. If you are part of a local organization that needs food, a gift card donation, or a helping hand, please reach out to our management team so we can consider your request: somerville@americanflatbread.com.
